Chapter 1 General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set forth the rights, obligations, responsibilities, procedures and other necessary matters between Gate Plus Co., Ltd. (“Company”) and the members with respect to the use of the SAT online mock-test and learning platform “Gate +” (“Service”) provided by the Company.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. Service: The Gate + platform and all ancillary services that members can use on wired or wireless devices (PC, mobile, etc.).

  2. Member: A person who agrees to these Terms, concludes a use contract with the Company, and uses the Service. Members are classified as follows:

    1. Consumer Member (B2C): An individual who uses and pays for the Service in a personal capacity.
    2. Business Member (B2B): A business entity that uses and pays for the Service.
    3. Academy Admin: A business member who can create, delete and manage an institution-exclusive page and set tests for affiliated teachers and students.
    4. Academy Teacher: A business member who, within the scope granted by the Academy Admin, can manage students and set tests.
    5. Private Tutor: A business member who can create, delete and manage a personal (tutoring) page and set tests for connected students.
    6. Student: A member who takes tests set by an academy, a tutor, or personally.
    7. Parent: A member connected to a student who can view the student’s test schedule, scores and analysis results.
  3. ID: A unique identifier in e-mail address format assigned for member identification and Service use.

  4. Password: A combination of letters, numbers, etc. set by the member to verify identity and protect information.

  5. Post: All information—text, voice, sound, images, files, links, etc.—posted or transmitted by a member or the Service.

  6. Page Code: Electronic information issued by the Company for page entry, identification and permission.

  7. Test Set: A set of SAT mock-test questions provided by the Company.

  8. Key: A digital voucher consumed to take a test. The number of keys required varies by test; currently, one key is consumed per section per student for the digital SAT.

  9. Package: A product that bundles multiple keys for bulk provision.

  10. Commencement of Supply: For a student member, the moment the test screen is first loaded after pressing START; for a business member, opening the PDF is also deemed commencement of supply.

  11. Issued Test-Set Limit

    B2C (Consumer Member): Up to 15 sets per account (cumulative).

    B2B (Business Member): Access up to 40 sets if cumulative paid keys < 500, or up to 60 sets if ≥ 500.

    ※ Test sets exceeding the limit may not be transferred, sold or provided to third parties without the Company’s prior written consent.

Chapter 2 Presentation and Amendment of the Terms

Article 3 (Publication and Amendment of the Terms)

  1. The Company shall post these Terms on the Service’s initial screen or a linked screen for easy access by members.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate the Regulation of Standardized Contracts Act, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Personal Information Protection Act or other relevant laws.
  3. When amending the Terms, the Company shall announce the changes and effective date at least seven (7) days in advance (thirty (30) days if unfavorable to members).
